Autumn wedding ceremony at Godwick Hall Norfolk
Chess and Dave’s autumn wedding at Godwick Hall was one of those days where everything just worked. From the start of the morning through to the evening celebrations, the atmosphere was relaxed, romantic, and full of genuine emotion.
I covered both bridal and groom prep, which set the tone beautifully for the day. There was a calm, unhurried feel in the morning — the kind that instantly puts everyone at ease and allows moments to unfold naturally. Being able to move between both preparations helped tell the full story of the day from the very beginning.
The autumn light at Godwick Hall was absolutely stunning. Soft, warm, and directional, it wrapped around the venue perfectly and added a real depth and richness to the images. It’s the kind of light photographers dream of, and it elevated every moment — from quiet exchanges during the ceremony to relaxed portraits later in the day.
The wedding itself was romantic and fun-filled, with plenty of laughter woven through the emotional moments. Nothing felt forced or over-structured, which allowed the day to flow naturally and gave space for honest, meaningful photographs.
The result is a collection of images that truly reflect how the day felt — intimate, joyful, and timeless. One of those weddings where the setting, the people, and the light all came together in the best possible way.
