Natural, Documentary Wedding Photography — Wherever Your Wedding Takes Place
My name’s Chris, and I’m a destination wedding photographer with years of experience photographing weddings both in the UK and overseas. I work in a relaxed, documentary style, focusing on real moments, genuine connection, and telling the full story of a wedding day as it naturally unfolds.
Over the years, I’ve photographed weddings all over the world, including destination celebrations in places like Barbados, alongside weddings across Europe and the UK. Having lived and worked abroad myself, I’m completely at home travelling for weddings and adapting to new locations, cultures, and environments.
Whether you’re planning an intimate overseas celebration or a multi-day destination wedding with friends and family, my approach stays the same — calm, unobtrusive, and focused on capturing how the day actually felt.

What Makes Destination Weddings Different
Destination weddings tend to be slower, more intentional, and more personal. With fewer guests and multiple days spent together, the atmosphere often feels relaxed and deeply connected.
They also come with unique challenges — unfamiliar light, changing weather, tight schedules, and venues you only see shortly before the day itself. Photographing these weddings isn’t about control, but about adaptability, awareness, and experience.

Experience Matters When You’re Getting Married Abroad
When you’re planning a wedding overseas, you want a photographer who is comfortable working in unfamiliar environments and can think calmly on their feet.
I’ve lived and worked in multiple countries and regularly travel internationally to photograph weddings and teach photography. This experience shapes how I work on destination weddings — from understanding travel logistics and cultural differences, to adapting quickly to new locations and light conditions.
It also means less stress for you, and a photographer who blends seamlessly into your wedding experience.
A Documentary Approach to Destination Wedding Photography
My approach to destination wedding photography is the same wherever I work: unobtrusive, observant, and focused on real moments.
Rather than staging or directing your day, I document it as it unfolds — capturing the interactions, emotions, and atmosphere that make your wedding feel like yours. Destination weddings often allow for more freedom and space, which suits a documentary approach perfectly.
The result is a collection of images that feel natural, timeless, and honest.

I’ve photographed destination weddings in a range of locations, from relaxed coastal celebrations to historic and architectural venues abroad. Each location brings its own character, light, and rhythm to the day.
Rather than focusing on a single style or destination, I approach each wedding individually — responding to the place, the people, and the energy of the day.

Destination Weddings & UK Weddings — How It All Connects
While this page focuses on weddings abroad, I’m also a Norfolk wedding photographer, photographing weddings across the UK throughout the year. Many couples choose to work with me locally before taking me abroad, or discover my work through destination weddings and book me closer to home.
This balance of local and international work keeps my approach grounded, flexible, and experience-led.
