The Boathouse Wedding of Andy and Gina

You have got to love The Boathouse at Ormesby Broad in Norfolk. The venue has real character just like the owner Belinda who has more character than you can shake a stick at! But please don’t tell her I said that as she will probably chase me down the road with the stick!

So I met Gina and Andy a year or so before the wedding when they initially booked me. Lovely couple, each time I look back on this wedding I get that Gina G song stuck in my head, thanks, Gina!

The wedding kicked off at the Boathouse with Gina and her bridal party getting ready in the bridal suite. Andy and the boys all arrived in a bright red stretched Hummer.

Gina and Andy were not interested in all the fancy posed shots which was great for me, I love it most when I can concentrate on simply being a documentary wedding photographer. What can I say about Gina and Andy? They are both awesome! They have a wicked sense of humour and the day reflected on their personalities perfectly.

During the ceremony halfway through the I do’s, Gina gave me a cheeky look and decided it would be funny to poke her tongue out at me! Obviously, I captured this along with all the middle fingers that were presented to me throughout the day. This just goes to show that Gina and Andy either hated me or were so comfortable around me that they were simply themselves. The final outcome was the latter as we keep in touch and have become friends.

We were blessed with great weather on the day, which transforms this Norfolk Broad wedding venue into a summer gem. The wedding party made use of the electric boat that the venue can provide on your wedding day. On the boat, we got some nice pictures and had a good laugh.
