Oxnead Hall Valentines Wedding

Oxnead Hall Valentines Wedding

Oxnead Hall Valentines Wedding. When Saanj and Michael first contact me to photograph their wedding at Oxnead Hall on February the 14th I said yeah no worries, will be fun!.

Now I’m not much of a romantic, I used to be but this wedding actually rekindled my inner romance. My couple couldn’t have picked a better day to get married than the most romantic day of the year!.

I arrived at Oxnead Hall in the morning and met Mike Savory who is an amazing Videographer based in Norfolk. Top bloke and really easy to work with. We started off with bridal preparation in the North wing whilst Saanj and the bridal party got ready for the wedding ceremony.

This time the ceremony took place in the Long Room, whereas the previous wedding was on the lawn. As it was still winter I’m glad we were inside!. The wedding was a perfect mix of traditional with an Indian twist.

After the ceremony, the wedding party went down to the Orangery for reception drinks. This was the perfect time to get some couples and group shots. Just as we were about to begin the heavens opened but did we care? NO!!!!! out came the brollies job done!

Luckily the rain only lasted 20 mins, so we grabbed the chance and went for a walk through the grounds for some couples shots around the lake and on the bridge.

After the speeches and the amazing wedding breakfast, the evening entertainment started with a live band and the first dance. There were funky moves aplenty and the dancefloor really started to heat up. I really do love photographing the evening events. For me it shows another playful side of the day and people really start to relax more and let their hair down.

Overall this was the perfect Valentines day wedding. I would like to wish Saanj and Mike all the best in their future together. Looking for a Norfolk-based wedding photographer? get in touch.
